1. Eligibility: The American Education Week Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is open to all K-12 public and parochial school teachers who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry, are residents of the United States, who teach in one of these eligible counties, Benton, Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Cedar, Clayton, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Iowa, Jackson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine, Poweshiek, Scott, Tama, or Washington, and who comment on the designated Facebook post on time. Employees of the Teacher Store (the “Sponsor”) are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway. The Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations. All taxes (including, without limitation, federal, state, provincial and local) on or connected with any prize, and the reporting consequences thereof, are the sole and exclusive responsibility of the respective winner(s). Void where prohibited.

2. Entry Period: The Monday, November 18 giveaway begins on November 18 at 9:00am Central Time, and ends on November 18, 2024, at 9:00pm Central Time. All entries must be submitted before the specified end time.

The Wednesday, November 20 giveaway begins on November 20 at 9:00am Central Time, and ends on November 20, 2024, at 9:00pm Central Time. All entries must be submitted before the specified end time.

3. How to Enter and Odds: To enter, participants must comment their answer to the question on the designated Facebook post. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, or undelivered entries. Only one entry per person is allowed per day. A participant is only allowed to win once throughout the Giveaway week. Additional entries of a winning participant after winning will be disqualified. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

4. Winner Selection and Notification: For the Monday, November 18 giveaway, a random drawing will be conducted on Tuesday, November 19, to select one (1) winner. The winner will be notified in the comments on the designated post and via direct message on Facebook, and must respond within 48 hours to claim the prize. The winner must show their teacher badge and ID when they are picking up their prize.

For the Wednesday, November 20 giveaway, a random drawing will be conducted on Thursday, November 21, to select one (1) winner. The winner will be notified in the comments on the designated post and via direct message on Facebook, and must respond within 48 hours to claim the prize. The winner must show their teacher badge and ID when they are picking up their prize.

5. Prize: The winner will receive the classroom furniture item(s) from the designated Facebook post. Descriptions listed below:

Monday, November 18- (1) Hon SmartLink Desk (Approximate Retail Value: $250 in US Dollars)

Wednesday, November 20- (2) Hon SmartLink Desks with Book Boxes (Approximate Retail Value: $680 in US Dollars)

No cash or other prize substitution permitted except at Sponsor’s discretion. The prize is non-transferable. Any and all prize related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. The prize must be picked up from the Sponsor no later than 5:00pm Central Time on Thursday, December 5 or prizes will be forfeited. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use winner’s name, likeness, and entry for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

6. Privacy: Any personal information collected during this giveaway will be used solely for the purpose of administering the giveaway and will not be shared with third parties.

7. General Terms: The Teacher Store reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions. The organization also reserves the right to cancel or modify the giveaway at any time without prior notice. The Teacher Store reserves the right to not award the furniture items if unforeseen circumstances or violations of these terms and conditions occur.

8. Limitations of Liability: The Sponsor expressly disclaims all responsibility or liability for loss, damages, injury or delay to property or persons due to any causes, including but not limited to, acts of God, nature, labor strikes, and terrorism occurring during the use of the prize awarded. The Sponsor makes no representations or warranties concerning the appearance, safety, or performance of any prize awarded. By entering this Giveaway and/or accepting a prize, participants agree to release, discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless the Teacher Store and its’ respective officers, employees, representatives, and agents, from any injuries, losses, liability, or damages of any kind resulting in whole or in part from acceptance, possession, or use of any prize, or participation in this Giveaway. Under no circumstances will entrants be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrants hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages, attorney’s fees or any right to have any damages multiplied or increased.

9. Release of Platform: This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook. Participants release this social media platform from any responsibility or liability related to this giveaway.

10. Acceptance of Terms: By participating in this giveaway, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
